WHAT IS LAY COUNSELING?

The purpose of the Lay-Counseling ministry is to, in a non-professional setting, help people overcome obstacles in their life and reach their full potential in Jesus Christ by providing practical, applicable, and life-changing truths/resources from God’s Word and life experiences.

Lay Counseling Team members meet with individuals for a maximum of six, 45-minute sessions. Everything shared within these meetings is strictly confidential to the Lay Counseling Team Member and Mosaic Church Staff, with the legally mandated exception of danger to self or others.  Please understand that our team of volunteers may not be equipped to handle all needs, and in some cases, we will need to refer to a trusted counselor in the community.
